This Silly Fate

Strangely silly is this fate of mine
Seems hard to believe with passing time
Imaginary as it may seem so lame
Until I witness it being unfold as a game
Blame it as luck or mere destiny
Who would have written for me so specially?
Good and evil scrutinously balanced
Are deeds everyday being challenged?
For I cannot see that which lies ahead
Or whether I choose to know them instead
To worry in vain and face tomorrow,
Or smile and unravel the present as a bow.

* Wish upon a star *

If I could wish upon a star so bright..
Ask for all that brings delight..
No price for any treasure,
Admonish every displeasure.

If I could wish for a world so fine.
No hatred, just love so divine.
A heart so pure as that of a child,
Equality prevailing amongst mankind.

Would all I wished for ever come true?
I stand and ponder without a clue.
Across my mind crawls a thought,
Was it just a glimpse of what heaven's all about?!

Turn back time..

If only I could turn back time,

If only my life would be so fine..

Erase the moments you curse yourself for,

Heal those wounds that only hurt you more..

Relive those hours which brought you joy,

Things I longed, but never did try..

Bring back someone you wish you never lost,

Throw out ones who were the worst..

A hope in future is all I gain,

Bearing bruises that's worth the pain..

Nothing I can do or have a say,

Just bow my head and softly pray.
