* Wish upon a star *

If I could wish upon a star so bright..
Ask for all that brings delight..
No price for any treasure,
Admonish every displeasure.

If I could wish for a world so fine.
No hatred, just love so divine.
A heart so pure as that of a child,
Equality prevailing amongst mankind.

Would all I wished for ever come true?
I stand and ponder without a clue.
Across my mind crawls a thought,
Was it just a glimpse of what heaven's all about?!
